Everything You Need to Know About Tradepacks in RavenQuest 🧭
Welcome, adventurer. Whether you're a fresh-faced merchant or a seasoned pack-runner, this is your Tier 5 Legendary Guide to Tradepacks - one of the most powerful (and risky) ways to generate silver in RavenQuest. We've hammered out every detail with love, late nights, and lost packs (don't ask us how many). Let’s get into it.
🔹 What Are Tradepacks?
Tradepacks are craftable in-game items that can be delivered across the world of RavenQuest in exchange for silver, the main currency in the game. Crafting a tradepack requires gathered, farmed, or crafted materials.
Once crafted at a Munk Tradepost (marked by the merchant icon on your map), the tradepack will be tagged with the location you crafted it at. (This tag is important for later when we discuss warehouses and stealing). Now that you have a tradepack on-hand, you have to deliver the pack by physically walking, running on a moa, or sailing across the sea to a different munk tradepost marked on the map. You cannot teleport when carrying a tradepack.

📜 What is a Tradepack Certificate?
Tradepack Certificates are essentially a ticket you can consume at a munk tradepost to craft ANY tradepack you want, for free. You can get them from Supply Bags and from legacy rewards at certain milestones. It is good practice to save these for very high demand pack runs since selling the pack will be pure profit. In order to use the Tradepack Certificate, simply go to the munk tradepost you want to begin your run at > Select the pack you want to craft > Press ‘Use Certificate’.

📜 What is a Primed Tradepack?
A Primed Tradepack is currently the only way to gain Merchant Influence in the game. Merchant Influence earns you a portion of a $QUEST pool airdropped to players who gained merchant influence every Friday. The amount of $QUEST you get airdropped depends on your proportion of Merchant Influence accumulated throughout the week compared to the rest of the players with Merchant Influence.
Priming a tradepack is very simple. As long as you have a Tradepack Priming Certificate, before you go to craft a pack, turn on the 'Prime Tradepack' slider. When you craft the Tradepack, it will now be 'Primed'. Primed tradepacks have a red aura around them, indicating that they will sell for merchant influence instead of silver.
To obtain a Tradepack Priming Certificate you must either buy them in the currency market (at the auction house in Ravencrest) OR get them via Landowner airdrop each week depending on the size of the estate you own (not the community land - the NFT).
NOTE* A Primed Tradepack's 'Value' is equal to the amount of silver it would have sold for.
WARNING* The 'Prime Tradepack' slider must be manually de-selected or else it will remain in the 'on' position. Many times I have seen my friends accidentally prime a tradepack they meant to craft for silver because they didn't realize the slider was on.

🏙️ Where Are Tradeposts Located?
There are currently 12 tradeposts across the map:
- Riverend (Glademire)
- Margrove (Rhona Woods)
- Orca Bay (Sajecho island)
- Seabreeze (Harbor Island)
- Tarmire (Hadaraak)
- Darzuac (Hadaraak)
- Gilead
- Glaceforde
- Ravencrest
- Defiance
- Dras Ashar (Hadaraak)
- Kar'ivir (Frost steppes)

📈 Tradepack Value Breakdown
Your pack's value is calculated based on a multiplier of all three of the following values:
1. Global Demand
This is the overall demand for that tradepack across the entire game. It rises over time and drops when someone else sells that specific pack.
2. Local Demand
This is how much the receiving munk tradepost wants your pack. If tons of players deliver “pickled vegetables” to Riverend, local demand for “pickled vegetables” at Riverend will go down, but other posts’ local demand for “pickled vegetables” may go up. You can find the local demands of a pack by opening the tradepack menu (Press 'T') > Select the pack you want to view > Click the caret/arrow icon to open the dropdown.
3. Distance Traveled
The farther the tradepack travels, the bigger your multiplier. Crossing the map = juicy profit. Walking it 2 feet to a neighbor? Not so much.
You can check the “steps” from one location to another by visiting a munk tradepost > “I want to craft a tradepack” > Click on any tradepack > Click the pin icon. You do not need to manually input steps when using our tradepack calculator. These are input automatically.
P.S. steps are a fixed value from location to location. You cannot run in circles to increase the value of your tradepack.
NOTE* Selling a tradepack in a conflict or warzone does NOT increase its value.

⚠️ The Risks of Tradepacking
Tradepacks come with danger:
- You’re visibly marked in-game with a tradepack icon indicating how many tradepacks you are currently carrying. If you die, they will drop on the ground for anyone to steal.
- Conflict Zones & Plunder Channels: PvP is live. Players will try to take you out and steal your goods.
- Mob Deaths: Even in safe zones, if mobs kill you, you’ll drop the pack. Stay sharp.
- Dynamic Events = Temptation: Resist helping or diving into fights while hauling. You will regret it. (Trust me.)
- Changing Channels: DO NOT change channels while carrying a tradepack. If you are wanting to join a friend to run the pack with you, simply put the tradepack away into a warehouse, or have them change to your channel. If you change channels while carrying a tradepack, it will drop on the ground for anyone to grab and it won’t come to the new channel.
🚚 I Crafted My Tradepack But I Don't Want to Deliver it Right Now... What Should I do?
If you crafted and are carrying your tradepack but either don't have the time to make the full delivery right now OR the area you want to go to is in conflict, leave your tradepack in a warehouse.
There is something called a Munk Warehouse at almost every dock in RavenQuest. You can permanently store up to 10 Tradepacks in each of these warehouses should you desire to do so. This is very useful for three primary reasons:
- If someone is chasing you and you need to dock at an area that is also in conflict, drop the tradepack in the warehouse and there is nothing they can do to steal it. (you can also store someone's stolen pack if you snag it on the open waters)
- If you craft a pack and then the demand spikes downward, you can always throw it into a warehouse and then wait until global or local demand goes back up if you believe it will.
- If the area you want to deliver the tradepack to is currently in conflict, you can leave the pack in the warehouse, go grind some mobs, and come back to grab it when the area is in peace again.
NOTE* Tradepacks will automatically transfer from your munk warehouse and enter your boat when you try to leave the dock. It is a double edged sword.

📦 How Do I Carry Multiple Tradepacks?
To go full caravan mode, you’ll need more than just your Moa:
- Wagon – Attach one to your Moa (CTRL + right-click yourself > ‘create wagon’ > interact with the wagon)
- Merchant Boat – For seafaring delivery
- Boat Attachments – Tradepack containers let you haul extra packs
*Visit the Ship Builder at Ravencrest’s dock to view different boat and tradepack container crafting requirements.

💸 Selling Stolen Packs – What You Need to Know
If you sell a pack that wasn’t crafted by you, the Munks take a 20% cut off the top. That includes packs dropped by other players you killed OR ones dropped for you by a party member or guildmate.
If you do manage to kill someone and steal their tradepack, check where they crafted it by opening your tradepack bag and checking its tagged crafted location.
Remember, you cannot sell a pack at the same post it was crafted at. Run fast!
🤝 Dropping a Pack For a Friend?
If you want to drop a tradepack on purpose - maybe you have too many to carry and you need a friend to help deliver them to a destination - you can open the Tradepack menu with ‘T’ > Click the bag icon in the bottom left corner > Left-click the tradepack and drop it. This is also where you can check a tradepack's crafted location.
WARNING: The tradepack will drop in a nearby spot on the ground, not directly underneath your character, so make sure nobody is around to steal the pack while your friend is scrambling to pick it up. It is usually best to drop tradepacks in an isolated area, such as, a nearby building with a room.

❗ Why Am I Losing Silver on Tradepacks?
Common rookie mistakes:
- Buying all your materials off the Auction House (they cost 1.5–2x more than gathering/farming them yourself)
- Ignoring global or local demand
- Delivering to a nearby tradepost (low steps bonus)
To maximize profit, source your materials personally, travel far, and sell where demand is high. Often, that means crossing conflict zones and braving deadly waters.
