๐Ÿ“œ RavenQuest Game Updates

Even as the massive Patch 1.1.0 brews, this week brought targeted improvements and some major announcements regarding the future of the $QUEST ecosystem and Tavernlight Games itself.

๐Ÿงฌ Moa Breeding Adjustments (June 3rd)

  • Breeding two Tier 6 Moas now yields more consistent Tier 6 offspring results, with a significantly lower chance of "downgrading" to Tier 5.
  • Tier 6 Moas now unlock at Breeding Level 48 (up from 47) for smoother progression.
  • A heads-up: Tier 7 Moas, when introduced, will be rarer and harder to reproduce to preserve their elite value.

๐ŸŸ Munk Fish Broker Optimizations (June 5th)

  • Performance improvements deployed for the Munk Fish Broker, resolving previous FPS drops during fish selling and slicing for smoother interactions.

๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ BUGFIXES & TECHNICAL UPDATES

๐Ÿ”ง UI & Tooltip Issues (June 5th):

  • Fixed tooltip overlaps and disappearing details in the RavenCards UI.
  • Resolved false โ€œhigh rarityโ€ RavenCard announcements that were incorrectly triggering when depositing cards (now only triggers when opening RavenPacks).

๐Ÿ’ป Website Deposits & Login Issues:

  • IMX-Side Issue (June 5th): An IMX bug disrupted deposits/withdrawals. The RQ team actively worked with IMX for a resolution.
  • Client Login/UI Reset (June 5th): A fix for client login issues was deployed via a scheduled restart. However, a change that fixed UI elements resetting was temporarily reverted for further investigation due to other unforeseen issues.

๐ŸŒ ECONOMY & $QUEST ECOSYSTEM

๐Ÿ’ฐ $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0 ANNOUNCED!

  • This is HUGE. Knighter unveiled plans for a "bold new evolution" of the $QUEST token. Expect expanded utility, new integrations across multiple games, and enhanced economic infrastructure.
  • This isn't just about RavenQuest anymore; $QUEST is set to become a true ecosystem-wide token.

๐ŸŽฎ RAVENIDLE Announced - The $QUEST Journey Expands!

  • A brand new game, RavenIdle, was announced, with its release date teased by Knighter during the Roundtable (see below for details!).
  • This idle game will deeply integrate $QUEST and NFTs, playing a significant role in the $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0 and offering cross-utility with RavenQuest.

๐Ÿ’ผ Studio Growth & Resilience

  • In a powerful message, Knighter addressed the current turbulent market conditions affecting both Web3 and traditional gaming studios (layoffs, closures). He reaffirmed that Tavernlight Games is stable, well-funded, and more bullish than ever, having "weathered storms for over a decade."
  • He stated, "we haven't sold a single token," emphasizing a long-term vision and commitment.
  • The studio is GROWING, not downsizing, with new dev roles opening (see Community section). This isn't just survival; it's "strategic advancement."

๐ŸŽญ COMMUNITY & CULTURE

๐ŸŽค Guilds Roundtable: Episode 8

This week's Roundtable (detailed below) was a blockbuster, featuring major Alpha drops from Knighter himself on Patch 1.1.0, $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0, Boss Bounties, and the Epic Games release timeline.

๐Ÿงฐ New Dev Roles Opening at Tavernlight Games

In line with their expansion plans, Tavernlight announced several new positions: Biz Dev, CEX Strategist, Ecosystem Architects, Localization Leads (Chinese), and Engineers (C++, Go). This signals serious scaling and multi-game ambitions. Check their careers page: tavernlightgames.com/careers

๐Ÿ”ฎ LOOKING AHEAD

๐Ÿง  Major AMA Held This Past Week (Referenced by Knighter on June 7th) Knighter confirmed an AMA happened, dropping significant Alpha on:

    • Patch 1.1.0 "Mini-Expansion" Systems
    • $QUEST token use cases for Ecosystem 2.0
    • Boss Bounty Mechanics (Land and Sea)
    • Multi-game utility of RavenQuest NFTs
    • Epic Games release timing
    • New Archetypes
    • Armor and Equipment Durability System
    • Expeditions
    • Arenas
    • Character Bazaar
    • and much much MORE...

(Adventurers should seek out VODs or summaries of this AMA for all the details!)

The message from the RavenQuest team is loud and clear: they aren't just weathering the current market storm โ€“ they're charting a course to sail right through it, stronger than ever. This is about strategic growth and building a lasting legacy. The $Quest truly continues! ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

๐ŸŽช Community Events Spotlight

While no single massive, one-off tournament dominated this specific week's calendar like some previous weeks, the pulse of community engagement beats strong with regular gatherings:

๐Ÿป FAM Guild Friday Game Nights:

Don't miss out! Every Friday, starting around 3 PM EST, FAM Guild hosts their community Game Night. It's a fantastic way to connect, play, and often score some cool stuff!

โš”๏ธ Laughing Coffin Tuesday Duel Nights (Ongoing Vibe):

Laughing Coffin, spearheaded by the energetic @LC_Nova33, has been cultivating a Tuesday PvP-focused Duel Night. While the exact time might vary (reach out to Nova for the latest!), it's becoming a go-to for adventurers looking to test their builds and enjoy some good ol' fashioned duels.

As always, keep an eye on the official RavenQuest Discord and prominent community channels for pop-up events and ongoing activities!

๐Ÿ’ฌ Guild Roundtable Recap (Ep. 8)

Episode 8 of the Guilds Roundtable, hosted by Jyrmz from RavenQuest.tools and making yet another debut on the Official Roundtable Discord Stage, was arguably the most impactful yet! The panel โ€“ featuring Bunny (OSG), Neemos (Golden Dawn), Luuu (90), Billionfootball (FAM), Nova (LC & RQ.tools contributor), Kiszer (GXE), and a very special, very talkative guest: Knighter, CEO of Tavernlight Games (aka "The Yap King Himself!"). What followed was an absolute deluge of Alpha and a deep dive into the future of RavenQuest and the entire $QUEST ecosystem.

(The full VOD of this epic session will be available on the new gg.tools YouTube channel)

Key Discussion Anchors & Knighter's Alpha Tsunami:

โš”๏ธ Guild Wars Pulse Check

Guilds shared their experiences with the new Warband/MMR system. Luuu mentioned competing with four lineups and suggested more game time or sessions. BillionFootball celebrated a win last week and a hard-fought loss this week, praising their team's coordination across language barriers. The consensus is the MMR system is starting to balance out, providing fairer matchups, though it will still take time.

๐ŸŽจ Archetype Contest Update

Knighter is "geeking out" reviewing hundreds of submissions, with ~95% being very well-developed. He confirmed that some community designs (or strong inspirations from them) will make it into the game post-Naturalist/Ballistics!

  • Winners will be announced "soon," and more than just the top entries will be published due to the high quality.

๐Ÿ”ฅ PATCH 1.1.0 "MINI-EXPANSION" DEEP DIVE

This is an EXPANSION: Knighter emphasized 1.1.0 is so big, it's essentially RavenQuest's first expansion, addressing "99% of what the community is looking for." It will have its own update name.

New Archetypes & Weapons:

  • Naturalist: A melee magic damage dealer with strong support/control.
  • Ballistics: High damage dealer, synergizes well with Archery.
  • New Weapon Types: Dual Pistols, Blunderbusses (2-handed guns), Totems (new support weapon for healers!), and Magic Gauntlets (melee magic weapon). All with new skills & Warforged abilities.

๐ŸŽ Updates Coming Before 1.1.0

There was a LOT discussed during this episode of the Guilds Roundtable and included in that discussion were plenty of things for Adventurers to look forward to between now and 1.1.0. Let's go over it:

Effective Level Cap Increase: 75 โ†’ 80!

(Coming this week or very soon!)

Boss Bounties

Re-challenge iconic bosses via Maxxer for Emblems (new consistent source!) and a large amount of Fame. These will be global events โ€“ the whole game world will have the same boss bounty active at a time, making grouping easier. This is separate from Ranger Company.

Expeditions System (Roguelike Dungeons!)

  • Randomly generated dungeons with ~100 different "cells" for unique runs.
  • Choose keys to increase difficulty & rewards (with random "afflictions" buffing creatures).
  • Profession checks (e.g., high Woodcutting to clear paths) unlock hidden areas.
  • Monk companion with unlockable abilities.
  • Initially solo, with Duo/Trio support planned later. Leaderboards with rewards for top performers.

Equipment Changes

Moving from the current death system to a Durability System for equipment, ships, and wagons (losing durability from usage & death). Gems for equipment customization are also coming!

QoL & System Upgrades

  • Adornments: Custom health plates as rewards for top performance (Guild Wars, Expeditions, Arena).
  • Rebuilt Currency Exchange: Liquidity-based, instant swaps (like WoW token). Will also simplify paying with $QUEST instead of Silver.
  • Cosmetic Blueprints: Very rare drops allowing others to craft that cosmetic (with a kickback to the blueprint holder).

Character Bazaar

List your characters up for Auction on the Character Bazaar right from the RavenQuest Website! This brings additional value to your character, the time you have put into them and maybe even the capability to have several down the road?

Landowner Love in 1.1.0:

"Lots of things coming for landowners." (Details likely in the upcoming AMA).

Epic Games Launch

1.1.0 will launch alongside RavenQuest's debut on the Epic Games Store, a strategic move for a massive player influx. This is not an exclusivity deal; other platforms like Steam are still possibilities later.

Reward Structure Overhaul

Moving away from the "socialist" reward system to more significantly reward elite players and progression.

๐ŸŽฎ RavenIdle Coming Soon

new mobile/web-based idle game in the RavenQuest IP, akin to Melvor Idle x Old School RuneScape. Landowners get early playtest access around June 17th! Full release before end of June. it will be playable on mobile, web, Telegram, and eventually within the RavenQuest client itself!

Ravenidle uses your RavenQuest account, with cross-utility for cosmetics and $QUEST token integration. This is the first major expansion of the $QUEST Ecosystem.

๐Ÿฆ Guild Bank & Info Visibility:

The need for a Guild Bank was strongly voiced. Knighter acknowledged UI changes are complex but Guild Banks are a priority before general Guild UI overhauls. Neemos suggested better in-game visibility of player professions to help guild coordination, a sentiment shared by others.

โšก Lightning Round โ€“ "One Thing You'd Add":

    • Sea Battle Tournaments / Ocean Guild Wars (GXE & TN are already organizing one!)..
    • Target dummy/custom matches for build testing.
    • More gathering profession gear/trophies/utility (like a "metal detector" for nodes).

๐Ÿ’ก Pro Tip from Previous Roundtable

A discussion point from a previous week that resurfaced: Should Adventure Board XP buffs carry over (perhaps weekly, or with diminishing returns) to reduce daily FOMO and allow more flexibility for guild events? Knighter acknowledged it's an interesting idea but complex to implement due to how Rested XP works; also noted the balance between QoL and ensuring players have reasons to log in and capitalize on timed buffs.

Overall Roundtable Sentiment:

Electric! Knighter's extensive alpha drops generated massive excitement. While there are ongoing discussions about balance, transparency, and the desire for more content now, the overwhelming feeling was bullishness for the future, especially with 1.1.0 and RavenIdle expanding the $QUEST ecosystem. Knighter's reassurance about Tavernlight's stability and long-term vision was also well-received. Jyrmz will be summarizing feedback for the dev team.

The VOD for this incredible Roundtable (Episode 8) will be available on the new gg.tools YouTube channel

โœ… Conclusion

Week 12 was less about immediate in-game patch deployments and more about monumental revelations and foundational shifts for the future of RavenQuest and the entire $QUEST ecosystem. Knighter's appearance on the Guilds Roundtable unleashed an unprecedented torrent of Alpha for Patch 1.1.0, now officially a "mini-expansion," and the surprise announcement of RavenIdle, set to broaden $QUEST's utility and reach. This, coupled with Tavernlight Games' strong stance on their stability and growth amidst a turbulent market, paints a very promising picture.

On the RavenQuest.tools front, the launch of our $QUEST Calculator and ongoing map improvements continue our mission to empower you, the adventurer. With blog submissions open and major tools like the Build Planner and Crafting Calculator in design, we're matching the game's ambition with our own.

The stage is set. The "Quest Ecosystem 2.0" is taking shape, new archetypes and game modes are on the horizon, and the Epic Games launch will bring a fresh wave of adventurers. The coming weeks and months promise to be transformative. Prepare yourselves โ€“ the next age of RavenQuest is not just coming; it's being actively forged. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

See you next week, Adventurers! ๐Ÿ‘‹
