๐Ÿ’ฌ Guild Roundtable Recap (Ep. 11)

Episode 11 of the Guilds Roundtable was a dynamic session that began with a surprise, unannounced 30-minute AMA with Knighter before transitioning into our main community discussion. The panel, hosted by Jyrmz and FoolishSend from RavenQuest.tools, featured a fantastic lineup of community leaders and dedicated players including Kiszer (GXE), Vetronixxx (GG), Valdiz (XPLORE), Lightblue (OSG), monkey (GWG), Neemos (Golden Dawn), and Xtronner (OLS). The conversation ranged from immediate patch feedback to deep speculation on the future of RavenQuest's core systems.

The VOD for Roundtable Ep. 11, including the surprise Knighter AMA, will be available on Youtube! Link pending!

Key Discussion Anchors & Direct Insights from the Panel:

๐ŸŒŠ Surprise Knighter AMA โ€“ RavenIdle & The Ocean's Future!

Knighter kicked things off with major news, revealing RavenIdle had already surpassed 15,000 pre-registrations and was attracting a new, "more Web3 native" demographic. He explained the design philosophy: "How do we hit a very different demographic? And users that have never heard about RavenQuest."

He also dropped a bombshell piece of Alpha for the ocean: a new dynamic fishing event is coming soon! These server-wide announced fishing pools will feature a 25x higher chance for Legendary Fish and double the fish, designed to create a "central fighting point" and bring more excitement to the seas before the larger "Treasures Below" ocean content arrives.

โš”๏ธ Guild Wars Check-in & The Evolving Meta

With the MMR system beginning to settle, guilds shared their latest experiences.  Valdiz mentioned his team had dominated their match, while Vetronixxx's warband faced a tough, narrow loss.

The "Tank Meta" persists: Multiple speakers, including Vetronixxx, noted the continued prevalence of ultra-tanky builds, especially flag carriers utilizing the Protection tree's Unchained and Unbreakable abilities, making them incredibly difficult to counter.

Coordination is Key: Vetronixxx highlighted the strategic depth now required, stating, "First of all healer, and then it's combination of using anti-heal poisons and just attacking healer first." The importance of using consumables like Divine Disruption Poison to counter heavy healing was emphasized as a crucial part of high-level strategy.

๐Ÿ“‰ The Crafting Economy

This was a central pain point for the panel. Kiszer (GXE) expressed a common frustration: "You get insanely lucky with a craft, or it's basically just... pouring funds into crafting... to really only hit like maybe one out of ten like on a decent piece." He noted he had to pivot to other professions because the return on investment for blacksmithing was so low.

Vetronixxx agreed, pointing out the limited paths for failed crafts: "You're either going to eat [the gear] as exp to infuse your gear... or you're going to try and keep it till T7s with the limited space you have."

Proposed Solutions:

  1. The idea of being able to break down unwanted crafts for a partial material return was strongly supported. Vetronixxx: "It would be cool even if we have the option to break your unwanted craft for half of the materials."
  2. The upcoming gear durability and repair system (teased for 1.1.0) was seen as a potential solution to create a consistent "job" market for crafters.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Knighter's Forge & Upcoming Changes

The panel discussed the announcements from Knighter's Forge #2, including the planned rework of the infamy system and the move away from a "Plunder-only" PvP model.

Ideas for Conflict Zones: Lightblue suggested adding buffs like "reduced cooldowns of everything by like 10%" to make fighting in these zones more dynamic and rewarding.

Boss Bounties (Patch 1.0.9.5): While seen as a positive addition for group content, Faeson suggested an improvement: "It would have been better if we could select a boss and then there was a cooldown on that boss," to better help lower-level players target specific progression blockers.

๐Ÿ’ก Quality of Life & Future Content Wishlist

  1. Practice Tools: The need for a Target Dummy or custom matches for build testing without burning Rift charges was a popular sentiment.  Kiszer:  "Just chose that. So you're asking suggestions about pushing things up... one of the most common questions we get... is what are the suggested builds to start with."
  2. Sea Content: Inspired by Knighter's teaser, the panel brainstormed further ideas. Shavvir proposed weather effects, larger multiplayer ships with crew positions, roaming NPC merchants/patrols, and sea monsters like Krakens.
  3. Gathering Enhancements: Vetronixxx mentioned the long-standing community desire for gathering-specific gear and trophies to make those professions more engaging.
  4. Culling Eyes Level Sync: The issue of players needing to de-level to participate in lower-level Culling Eyes was raised as a point of frustration and a potential risk when encountering high-level campers.

Overall Roundtable Sentiment: The surprise AMA from Knighter ignited the conversation with exciting Alpha, particularly around the ocean update and RavenIdle. However, the core of the community discussion centered on tangible, immediate challenges like the crafting economy's profitability and the evolving Guild War meta. There's a clear appetite for more diverse endgame content, better QoL for testing and professions, and continued transparency from the dev team. The RavenQuest.tools team also announced that their highly-anticipated Build Planner is deep in development and expected to launch within the next two weeks.

โœ… Conclusion

Week 15 was defined by one powerful theme: expansion. The official launch date and guaranteed 70,000 + prizepool for RavenIdle marks a tangible, exciting first step to the broder $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0. Knighter's direct engagement via the surprise AMA and the debut of "The Forge" has fostered a new level of transparency and excitement, providing both immediate alpha (like the new dynamic fishing event) and a clear vision for the future.

While the community continues to grapple with the complexities of the in-game crafting economy, the solutions proposed in the Roundtable and the new systems teased for Patch 1.1.0 show that both players and developers are aligned on building a more robust, rewarding, and sustainable world. With the Level 80 cap now live, Boss Bounties active, and a "mini-expansion" on the horizon, the adventure in RavenQuest is not just continuing โ€“ it's accelerating. Prepare yourselves; July is going to be explosive! ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ

See you next week, Adventurers! ๐Ÿ‘‹
