📜 RavenQuest Game Updates

This week was marked by the significant deployment of Patch 1.0.9.5 and monumental announcements regarding the expanding $QUEST ecosystem, particularly the official launch date for RavenIdle!

🎯 Update 1.0.9.5 LANDS! (Deployed around June 17th/18th)
This patch brought sweeping additions and polish across PvP, PvE, and community systems, further paving the path to the "Treasures Below" mini-expansion:

🧨 Boss Bounties System is LIVE!

Team up to tackle iconic RavenQuest bosses via new rotating bounties available from Grandmaster Maxxor. Claim fresh Fame and other rewards! This system aims to make these encounters replayable and more accessible for groups. (Initial fix deployed June 19th for Maxxor Bounty Reset schedule).

📈 Archetype Level Cap Raised to 80!

More power, more skill points, more attribute points, and greater build depth are now attainable as you push your Archetypes to new heights.

📣 New Rapid Report System for Cheaters!

Player reports related to cheating and exploitation now get fast-tracked directly to the anti-cheat team, pinging them for real-time review. Knighter reported that in the first 2 hours, over 70 cheaters were caught via this new streamlined system (this is in addition to BattlEye and Anybrain catches). RavenQuest remains aggressive in its stance: "RIP Bozos. Over 20,000 cheaters have been banned and/or blocked since Global Release."

🧪 Mode-Specific Balance System Incoming!

Game-changing news for balance! The devs are actively building a new system to allow tailored skill balancing per game mode (e.g., Rift vs. Arena vs. Expeditions vs. Guild Wars vs. Open World). No more global nerfs that negatively impact PvE due to PvP concerns!

🥩 Feasting Strike Cooldown Reverted (June 18th)

The cooldown on Warfare's Feasting Strike was reverted to 23 seconds while the more granular, mode-specific balancing system is prepped.

🤝 Party Bonus Buffs SIGNIFICANTLY Increased!

Running in groups just got a massive boost:

  • 2-player: +20% → +25% XP/loot
  • 3-player: +25% → +32%
  • 4-player: +30% → +39%
  • 5-player: +35% → +46%
  • 6-player: +40% → +53%

Time to squad up, Adventurers!

💬 Guild Roundtable Recap (Ep. 10)

Episode 10 of the Guilds Roundtable, hosted by Jyrmz from RavenQuest.tools in the official RavenQuest Discord Stage, brought together a dynamic panel of community leaders and dedicated players to dissect the latest game developments and share their on-the-ground experiences. This week's speakers included 64World (OSG), Faeson (FAM), Kiszer (GXE), LC_Nova (LC & RQ.tools contributor), and the insightful DudeNFT. The conversation dove into recent Guild War outcomes, the community's reaction to "Knighter's Forge," and the ongoing challenges faced by crafters in RavenQuest.

The VOD for Roundtable Ep. 10 is available on the Gg.tools YouTube Channel

Key Discussion Anchors & Community Insights:

⚔️ Guild Wars Check-In

The Roundtable kicked off with war stories. Faeson (FAM) shared the thrill of their guild securing their first Guild War win with only five people, highlighting incredible coordination and proving that numbers aren't everything. He exclaimed, "Five people! Sin with 40-something kills, bro! Yeah. That was insane!"

Jyrmz recounted a tougher battle against a highly coordinated TGG warband: "They put up a really good fight... their builds are very well mapped out... they cooked us pretty good." This underscored the high level of competition at the top.

The desire for more Guild War opportunities or varied time slots to accommodate different time zones and player availability was a recurring sentiment, with 64World noting, "It'd be great if we could just have maybe like two different time zones... multiple time zones would enable us to be able to do like, you know, four or five [Warbands] potentially."

🔥 Knighter’s Forge Reaction

The debut of Knighter's new weekly video series, where he directly addresses top community feedback forum posts, was a major talking point.

Jyrmz emphasized the value of this initiative: "I think that Knighter is actually helping out a lot with the Knighter Forge. Making sure that everyone feels like... The team is listening." He also highlighted a key insight from Forge #1 regarding the anti-bot strategy: "Why maybe some of the bots were left so that they could learn and then quickly eliminate those bots... when they tried to come back."

DudeNFT expressed his appreciation: "I did enjoy this move from Knighter."

There was a general consensus that this level of direct, unscripted feedback from the CEO was a positive step for transparency and community engagement, even if some (like Vetronix in a previous discussion, whose sentiment might be shared) also want to ensure it doesn't detract from core content development.

💰 The Crafting Conundrum

A significant portion of the discussion centered on the challenges crafters are currently facing. Jyrmz shared his personal experience, showcasing a bank overflowing with unsold high-tier armor: "I have like four pages... of armor that I could not sell... it's rough."

DudeNFT articulated a common sentiment: "As of today's state, the crafting system is not happening at all, except, as I said, for buying XP, basically, and sometimes with the jackpot." He also pointed out that the oversupply issue might stem from the system not being designed for players to hit their oversupply cap every single day indefinitely.

Kiszer (GXE) echoed the struggle: "I just found it like consumed so much for such a little like [return]... You get insanely lucky with a craft, or it's basically just how your bank is... pouring funds into crafting... to really only hit like maybe one out of ten like on a decent piece." He mentioned pivoting to Cooking and Carpentry due to the low returns in Blacksmithing.

Potential Solutions Discussed:

  • Lou (from chat, referenced by Jyrmz): Ideas like daily crafting limits (with higher XP per craft) or reducing the oversupply cap.
  • Oracle (from chat, referenced by Jyrmz): The ability to break down crafted gear for a partial return of resources.
  • Kiszer: A system to influence or secure certain stats during crafting, similar to Moa breeding, to reduce the RNG of getting "perfect pieces" and thus reduce over-crafting.
  • The upcoming gear durability and repair system (teased by Knighter for 1.1.0) was seen by DudeNFT as a potential positive, as it would create a constant demand for crafters: "Basically to have a job, right? Like to have a purpose."

🎯 Boss Bounties & The $QUEST 2.0 Transition

With the Boss Bounty system (from Patch 1.0.9.5) now live, the panel discussed its role as a "taste" of the $QUEST 2.0 philosophy of rewarding more active, higher-level play.

Nova (LC) expressed enthusiasm: "I think it would be really nice to see the people that are still here still grinding and still just like absolutely loving the game get rewarded for that."

DudeNFT clarified an important point for the community: "This is not world bosses... People should not confuse this because it's not the world bosses." He emphasized these are replayable instances of existing bosses, primarily for Fame and Emblems, not the open-world, competitive World Bosses teased for 1.1.0.

Jyrmz noted the system's benefit for helping newer players clear these bosses by grouping with veterans who now have a reason to repeat them.

🐣 RavenIdle Early Impressions

With the Landowner playtest having just concluded, those who participated shared their excitement.

Nova (LC) was effusive: "Oh yeah, I mean, I've been just absolutely loving it. It's been on my second monitor like 24-7... It feels like RavenQuest literally just moved itself into an idle game, and they did it so... effortlessly and flawlessly."

Kiszer (GXE) found it "so easily addicting," noting, "The entire guild's been talking about it since they they released it yesterday... Everyone's been competing." He highlighted how even small strategic differences in the idle game (like Curse hitting all targets) create a fresh experience.

The discussion underscored the potential of RavenIdle to keep players engaged with the RavenQuest IP even when not actively playing the MMO, and the excitement for the July 4th full launch.

Overall Roundtable Sentiment:

A very engaged and strategic discussion. The community leaders appreciated the directness of Knighter's Forge and the continued Alpha drops, even if they also brought up pressing concerns, particularly around the crafting economy. There's a palpable excitement for RavenIdle and the major features slated for Patch 1.1.0, with a clear understanding that the game is in a phase of significant evolution. The desire for more group content and balanced reward systems remains a strong theme.

✅ Conclusion:

Week 14 was a critical juncture for RavenQuest, delivering the substantial Patch 1.0.9.5 with its Boss Bounties and Level 80 cap, while simultaneously pulling back the curtain further on the game's expansive future. The official July 4th launch date for RavenIdle and the details of its massive prize pool signal a significant step in the $QUEST Ecosystem 2.0 rollout. Knighter's new "Forge" series promises an unprecedented level of direct developer engagement with community ideas, a move widely applauded.

On the RavenQuest.tools front, our Build Planner is taking shape rapidly, and the Raven's Quill Challenge is already inspiring fantastic community content. We're committed to growing alongside RavenQuest, providing the tools you need to conquer every new challenge.
