๐ RavenQuest Game Updates
This week saw strategic shifts in the patch deployment schedule, some crucial quality-of-life improvements, and further clarifications on existing and upcoming systems as RavenQuest gears up for its next major evolution.
๐ฎ RavenQuest Patch 1.0.8
This week was all about Patch 1.0.8, which landed on Tuesday, May 20th! (yes technically after our update window on this, but it HAD to be covered. While the dev team is also hyping the colossal Patch 1.1.0 (their "biggest yet" with new content, systems, reward pool reworks, a seasonal event, and a massive marketing push incoming!), 1.0.8 itself brought some immediate and highly anticipated game-changers.
Here are the must-know highlights from Patch 1.0.8:
โ๏ธ Guild Wars REBORN: Warbands & MMR Arrive!
This is the big one! The Guild War system has been massively overhauled:
๐ก๏ธ Introducing Warbands
Guilds can now field multiple customizable 10-player teams (Warbands) in Guild Wars, dramatically increasing participation. Each guild gets one free, with more purchasable via Silver.
๐ฏ Strategic Bidding & MMR:
Warbands are bid on individually. A new dynamic Matchmaking Rating (MMR) system ensures fairer, skill-based matchups. Defeating stronger teams or winning decisively boosts your MMR faster!
๐ฐ Revamped Rewards
Only participating Warband members now receive rewards. Fame rewards are significantly increased, especially for high-performing Warbands, directly tied to MMR and match performance.
- The bottom line: Strategy, wider guild involvement, and skill now matter more than ever in Guild Wars!
๐ Augmenting Stone Refunds
Finally! You can now refund 80% of both Silver and Augmenting Stones invested into gear, based on its current tier. The item remains Soulbound. This is a huge win for build experimentation!
โ๏ธ Targeted Rift Balance Adjustments
Subtle but potentially impactful tweaks to Warfare (Feasting Strike cooldown โ), Protection (Shield Throw range โ), Wizardry (Havoc Spell Power โ), and Holy (Purify now Tier 3, cheaper). The aim is to shake up the meta and increase counterplay.
๐ Aether Echoes
Creature product drops from Aether Echoes have been adjusted (min/max materials reduced, drop chances tweaked) to ensure Open World hunting remains valuable, especially pre-Level 75. A new material table for <Lv 40 players was also added.
๐ฆ Tradepack Value Formula Tuned
To address increased Silver generation from recent Tradepack system enhancements and new long-distance routes, the distance multiplier is being reduced, while the base value of all Tradepacks is increased. This aims to keep older routes similarly profitable while reining in extreme profits on the newest, longest routes, and improve the impact of demand.
Don't worry, our Tradepack Calculator at ravenquest.tools will update accordingly soon!
๐ ๏ธ Key Profession Skill Tweaks
Adjustments made to Weaving (Steady Hand), Carpentry (New Tools), and Alchemy (Stabilize Mixture, Distill) to better align their utility and balance.
โ Other Notable Changes & Fixes
- Artifact Reward Order Swapped in the Deadlands for better progression.
- Max Vice-Leaders in Guilds now limited to 5.
- Increased drop chance of Corsairโs Ambrosia.
- Several items removed from NPC vendor sell lists.
- Various bugfixes, including for Rested EXP display, Cosmetic Material stacking, and combat-triggering passives.
This patch delivers a hefty dose of improvements, especially for Guild Warriors and those looking for more flexibility in their character progression!

๐ฅ Patch 1.1.0 Hype Builds
- The dev team is focusing significant resources on Patch 1.1.0, which is being billed as the biggest update to RavenQuest yet!
- Expect: New content, new systems, revamped reward pools, and a full trailer series to showcase its features. Four new weapon types, including the Arcane Bracer, have already been teased!
- The roadmap has seen a "major reshuffle," with some big items being brought forward into 1.1.0, while less immediately impactful features (like additional fishing mechanics) are being pushed back.
- A large marketing push is planned around the launch of 1.1.0, aiming to bring even more adventurers into the fold.

๐ RavenCard Mass Deposit is LIVE!
A highly requested QoL feature has arrived! You can now deposit multiple RavenCards at once from the website to the game for Shard farming.
- Currently, website-to-game transfers are capped at 30 cards per request to ensure stability. Say goodbye to endless single clicks!
๐ Veiled Cards Temporarily Disabled for Rework! ๐ ๏ธ
- Following player feedback and internal review, Veiled Card drops were temporarily disabled on May 14th.
- The dev team felt the drop rate was too high, the reward structure wasn't optimal, and top-rarity cards (Legendary/Mythic) shouldn't be obtainable via this specific system, to avoid devaluing existing RavenPacks.
- A new plan is in the works to make Veiled Cards a rewarding feature for gameplay-focused players. It's a "see you soon," not a goodbye!
๐ Double Creature EXP Weekend Concludes! ๐
- From May 16th to 19th, adventurers enjoyed boosted XP rates across all creature hunts. This popular event ended with Monday's server reset.
โ๏ธ Guild Wars: Final Run Before the New Era!
- The last standard Guild War under the old system took place on Saturday. Some connection issues were resolved via an emergency server reset.
- Guild War bidding was closed on Sunday (May 18th) in preparation for the new Warband/MMR system launching with Patch 1.0.8.
๐ฃ Dynamic Fishing Event Disabled Temporarily
- An issue with this event closing properly led to its temporary removal for further investigation and fixes.
๐ด Moa Breeding Mechanics Clarified:
- The chance for a Moa to tier-up during breeding depends on the breeder's level, relevant passive skills, and the use of any breeding potions.
- UI improvements are coming to display the Tier-Up chance more clearly and provide better information on requirements.
๐งพ Other Notable Changelog Items:
- May 16th: Several other dynamic events (Picky Eaters, Muddy Catch, Aggressive Preservation, A Bad Hookup) were temporarily disabled for testing and issue resolution.
- May 19th: Double EXP event concluded.
๐ ECONOMY & $QUEST ECOSYSTEM
๐ $QUEST <> Silver/Primed Tradepack Certificate Overhaul Coming (Patch 1.1.0). Get ready for instant swaps via an in-game liquidity pool! This aims to replace the current, sometimes complex and time-consuming, conversion methods.
๐ Renown Revamp Continues, the first stage (Effort generation boost) is live. Expect Renown to gain even greater weight in reward pools with Patch 1.1.0 and beyond.
๐ฆ Primed Tradepacks Soaring with the 1.0.7.1 changes continue to have a positive impact: Primed Tradepack Certificate value is up, usage has increased significantly, and the previous oversupply is rapidly diminishing. The system is expected to stabilize into a healthy equilibrium over the next couple of weeks.
๐ฐ Silver Economy Tuning Underway the dev team acknowledges that the recent Tradepack revamps have increased overall Silver output. Adjustments are actively being worked on to maintain a balanced and healthy ecosystem-wide Silver economy.
๐ก๏ธ COMMUNITY & CULTURE
๐จ Design Your Archetype Contest Finalized!
- Submissions closed on May 17th.
- A $1,000 prize pool in RavenPacks is on the line, with the Top 5 entries each winning $200. One community-designed Archetype may become the next playable class in RavenQuest!
๐ 75,000 Discord Members!
- The official RavenQuest Discord has hit a major milestone, reflecting the game's continued growth and vibrant community.
๐งช Server Issues Addressed:
- Connection drops on SEA & NA servers were fixed via an emergency patch. The team is investigating compensation for affected players who may have lost resources.
๐ฌ Guild Roundtable Recap
This week's Guild Leader Roundtable (Episode 5!) was a deep and candid discussion, with representatives like @Kiszer, @KingTom, @eliph_ , @Mrs369FAMTV, @Sinful, and our own @Jyrmz & @Lucid dissecting the state of the game, future expectations, and the challenging realities of Web3 economies. Let's go over what was discussed:
๐ Patch 1.1.0
Universal excitement for the endgame content promised in 1.1.0. Kiszer specifically highlighted world bosses as a way to "encourage more players into the open world and create opportunities for large-scale guild conflicts" beyond current Guild War limits.
- KingTom praised recent Tradepack improvements but voiced concerns: "My concern is that we've left these changes a little long now to see meaningful impact on the player base." He also stressed the need for "serious catch-up mechanics for the lower level people" to address the growing power gap.
โ๏ธ Guild War Enhancements
Positive anticipation for the upcoming MMR system and Warband changes in Patch 1.0.8. Many, like eliph_, noted the challenges for smaller guilds with the 15-player cap and welcomed the potential 10v10 options. Kaiser is looking forward to more appropriate matchmaking after facing "every single top guild minus GG."
๐ธ $QUEST Token Economics & Web3 Gaming Challenges
This was a significant portion of the discussion, sparked by Lucid raising questions about the monthly $QUEST distributions and their handling.
- KingTom laid out fundamental Web3 economy challenges stating, "Everybody sells the token apart from players... The only way that these games stay alive is if there's some external source of funding buying up their token... Or if you have enough players who want to buy enough quests to effectively generate that [developer/marketing operational cost]." He stressed the need for clear token sinks (locking/burning preferred over recirculation) and expressed hope RavenQuest avoids the "double-dipping" seen in other projects where teams resell tokens spent in-game.
- Sinful commented on the broader Web3 landscape: "Most of those games that come from Web2... they're just being conned... there's so many projects with such bad tokenomics... If you see all the other Web3 games, for me they [RavenQuest] are doing a great job." He also pointed out that many Web3 games "never even begin, they just raise money."
- Jyrmz and KingTom discussed the "Wild West" nature of Web3 gaming, emphasizing the lack of experienced teams who have successfully shipped both a good game and sound Web3 implementation. KingTom: "You get two points of failure. You get people who... don't know enough about how to build in web 3, and you get people who don't know enough about how to build games."
- Mrs369 initially mistook RavenQuest.tools for the official dev team, highlighting the value of an independent community voice. KingTom (tongue-in-cheek, after the clarification): "I wouldn't have been such a dick if I saw Knighter" This led to a good discussion on the RavenQuest team's willingness to listen to feedback.
โจ Renown System Rework & Silver Economy
Brief but positive acknowledgement of upcoming Renown changes to make it more impactful. The increase in Silver generation due to Primed Tradepack changes was noted, with the understanding that devs are working on rebalancing.
๐ค Future Collaboration & Community Voice
The Roundtable concluded with support for RavenQuest.tools potentially summarizing key discussion points to share directly with the RavenQuest development team, further amplifying the community's voice. Mrs369: "If you guys are passionate about certain things... sharing your thoughts here, honestly, and then putting it in a summary, giving it to the team... I think that's beneficial for everybody."

โ Summary
Week 9 in RavenQuest was a period of strategic recalibration and forward momentum. While Patch 1.0.8's slight delay shifts the immediate timeline, the anticipation for it AND SUDDEN RELEASE โ and the monumental Patch 1.1.0 โ is palpable. Key QoL improvements like Mass RavenCard Deposit have landed, while systems like Veiled Cards are being thoughtfully reworked based on player experience.
The Guild Roundtable provided a crucial platform for candid discussion, highlighting both excitement for upcoming features like Warbands/MMR and world bosses, alongside legitimate concerns and astute observations about $QUEST tokenomics and the broader Web3 gaming landscape. Itโs clear the RavenQuest community is deeply invested, knowledgeable, and eager to contribute to the game's long-term success. As the developers continue to tune the economy and prepare for major content drops, this active feedback loop remains invaluable.
The forge is indeed hot, the Warbands are forming, and the next age of RavenQuest is drawing ever closer. Stay vigilant, stay vocal, and keep shaping this world! ๐ฏ๏ธ
